Lavish estates fill the surrounding area. Makeing a statement of wealth and power. But as you walk these streets you get a hint of the scandal that grought these people to power. A swampy muggy place where mutant creatures are said to lurk in the dark shallow waters. Toppled statues and the remnants of libraries and institutions line the streets. Many have come in search of the stairway that Sagan itself descended to earth from, but most decide it was all just a myth.
